Something Old, Something New

Something Old, Something New. . .
I found this great stamp that I couldn't wait to use for an
upcoming wedding for a very special young lady.

She is doing her wedding in blue and burlap.
And she loves the Chevron pattern.

I decided to use the sketch off of the Sweet Stop blog.

I used the Alphabet Stack from DCWV (letter R).
I embossed the Chevron design onto white paper and then took a blue
ink pad to color the raised pattern with.
I used a glittery black ribbon and 3 rhinestones.
I had to add a little sparkle since it was a wedding.  And the bride loves sparkle!

You can't really see it very well,
but the background has a light diamond pattern in it.

I am going to enter it into the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge.

Cards, Cards, Cards!

Good Afternoon!
I hope everyone is having a great day today!

I finished helping a friend of mine out with one of her projects this week,
then I moved onto making a few cards.

This one I used the MOJO Monday sketch on.
They always have some great sketches and their design team
always puts out some great inspiration!

I used some DCWV paper I had had for a while, just
waiting for the perfect project.

I pop dotted up the square piece in the center and added
some very glittery stars to the bottom.

The next card I made I used the sketch off of the Sweet Stop blog.
This is another one of my favorite blogs.
They always have some great sketches too.
And their design team is so very talented.

On this card, I used some pieces from my stash that have just been
sitting there for a while.  I love the colors and patterns together on this card.
And I thought the bow added a nice touch.

I am going to enter these two cards into the MOJO Monday and Sweet Stop challenges.

Sweet Happy Birthday!

Hope everyone is having a great Friday today!
Almost the end of another long work week
and I am ready for the weekend.

I have been doing a little card making this week,
which always makes the week a little better.

I am using the color inspirations from the Cupcake Inspirations blog.

Love these colors!
And so much fun to work with!

I am also using the sketch design from MOJO Monday's blog.

I was definitely inspired my the girls at both of these blogs, and since
I needed a birthday card this week, it was perfect!

I added a pretty pink flower to make it even more cheerful.
Rose Pink, Sunshine Yellow, and Kelly Green.
How much more cheerful can you get than that?

I stamped the card using one of my favorite Verve Stamps.
These stamps are wonderful to use.
They stamp very clearly and are extremely easy to use.
If you haven't tried them, you should give them a try.

I would like to enter this card into both of their challenges this week.

CELEBRATE AMERICA!

Happy Friday!!
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July and got to spend some time with family.
My daughter and I got to do some card making with some new
Sassy Studio digi stamps that we just got.
I have never used digi stamps before, so this was a little bit of a change for us.
I didn't realize how easy they were to use.

We found this great stamp from Sassy Studio Designs.
It's Katniss from the Hunger Games.
I used some all American ribbon I found at Michael's.
And glitter.  Lots of glitter.  Glitter paper, glitter glue, and glitter on the stamp.
You can never have too much glitter!

I like the Sassy Studio Designs challenge this week.
Red, White, and Blue.
I think the Patriotic theme is terrific.
I'm the kind of person who is stands and put her hand over her heart
every time they play the National Anthem.  No matter what I'm doing.
OK, unless I'm driving.

I colored the Katniss stamp with Copic markers and then added glitter.
I thought fireworks added the thing we all connect to the 4th of July. . .
Fireworks.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

You Make Me Smile - Birthday

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July.
It was rainy here, but still nice to be off of work.

I have gotten to do a little card makin' the last couple of days and I
wanted to share with you what I've gotten done.

The first one is using a sketch from MOJO Monday.

I used some of my favorite colors, green and purple.
And I love the butterfly design on the paper.

I would like to enter it into the MOJO Monday challenge this week.

The second card I made, I used the sketch from the Sweet Stop Challenge.

I really liked the colors of this paper as well.
Very pretty and cheerful!

I used a Verve Stamp, which I have just recently acquired.
These are really nice stamps.

I am going to enter this into the Sweet Stop Challenge this week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and gets to do a little crafting!

Vintage Life

I hope everyone is getting ready to have a great 4th of July!
I'm excited for a day off from work.
That means I do a l little scrapbooking!

I've been feeling in a vintage mood (if that is such a thing) the last few days.
So when I saw the new sketch from MOJO Monday, I knew exactly
what papers I wanted to use.

I used Simple Stories Documented 6x6 paper pad.
I absolutely love the vintage look of the cream, brown, and black papers.

I pop dotted my "Snapshots of a: . . ." to give it a little more dimension.
I added a little brown ink to the edges to give it a more vintage look.
And of course some pretty lace and a fabric flower.

I usually add bling to my projects, but I like this one without it.

Since MOJO Monday is celebrating their 300th challenge this week,
they are giving away some fabulous prizes.

I have to say that I really have enjoyed participating in their challenges
because they have some great sketches and inspiration.
Happy 300th MOJO! and hopefully many more to come!
THANKS!
