I thought this great paper from The Paper Shelter would look great with this
Simply Betty Stamp.  I love the saying on it!
I used some pretty pink striped paper from My Minds Eye
and I decided to use this great green dotted paper that was used as
a backing for some scrapbooking materials I bought.
Thought I would recycle it.

BEWARE!!

The new challenge for Simply Betty Stamps
Halloween challenge has started!

Today's challenge is just BLOOD CURDLING!
OK, not really bloody, but use bloody effects.
You can use sprays, mists, embossing powders, etc to create a bloody effect.

For my project I decided to make a little something to get the
Halloween Party going!

I took a soft drink, removed the label, added a new "Poison" label, and
lastly added a tag to forewarn the drinkers to Beware!

I used some DCWV Spooky Time mat stack.
I used a Simply Betty stamp called Bella the Vampire.

For my background I used a Tim Holtz stencil that I applied distress paint to.
Next I used a Tim Holtz splatter stencil, and added some red distress paint, and some red spray mist for a bloody look.

Lastly I used a Cricut machine to create the BEWARE warning.

Hope you will join us over at Simply Betty 13 Days of Halloween Challenges
for this new challenge because we are having a
bloody good time!

Steampunk Necklace

Time for Day 2 of the

Today's challenge is
Spooky Cogs, Gears, and Webs.
Just Steampunk out your project.

I wanted to do something new and a little different.
So, I decided to make a Steampunk necklace.

I started with a pretty black lace necklace with a black satin rose, some antique brass colored chains, and a couple of black teardrop beads added.
I also added a Tim Holtz antique brass gear, and two large
 antique brass bats.

For my pendant, I used, yep you guessed it, an antique brass pendant.
Copics, cut it out, and applied some Glossy Accents to the top of the
portrait to give it the glass look.

Hope this will inspire you to join us over at Simply Betty Stamps

Bon Bon's Anyone??

This one has the "sweetest" stamps!

Each stamp has a certain thing you are supposed to do with it.
For this stamp, you need to use some form of embossing.

I used my favorite Swiss Dots embossing folder with some
added lace and pretty brown crystals.

I went with a monochromatic look for this project.
Nothing but browns and creams, with a hint of a rosy color.

I used paper from Baerdesignstudio off of Etsy.
I also used a design from Allegradigital.

I made a card to display a necklace I am going to be giving as a present.
For the necklace, I used the same design from Allegradigital and
used my Epiphany square punch to cut out the design.
Then I added it to the pendant.

They are fabulous stamps!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Today is the first day of the 13 Days of Halloween challenge

I am excited to announce that I was chosen as one of the
13 Days of Halloween Princesses.
Pretty Exciting!!

The Princesses must compete in every challenge for a chance at the top prize;
however, each completion is open to everyone who wants to participate.
It should be a lot of fun!

For our first challenge,  we are
too create a banner to welcome Halloween.

I had soooo much fun making this banner!!
One of my favorite projects.

I used some wonderful digital paper from Michelle R Designs called Halloween.
I backed each tag with a piece of burlap.

I used a different Simply Betty Stamp for each tag.
I used a Cricut machine with the Happy Hauntings cartridge to cut out the
black iron gate, the witch's cauldron, the grave, bats, and all of the letters.
I used black glitter paper for the letters, and I inked a little bronze color from a bronze ink pad to the edges of the gate, cauldron, and grave.

I added a little black crystal bling to the first and last tag,
for a little something extra.
I do love my bling.

I added a watch piece to the Alice stamp on the "O" to give
it a more whimsical touch.

I used a Tim Holtz Apothecary jar dies for my Potion Bottles.
I used some black and gold glitter paper for some of the bottles.
For the other bottles, I used some Glossy Accents to make the
die cutouts look more like real bottles.
Then I added some Potion Labels that I found.

For the finishing touch, I used some great fibers to tie my tags
to some bailing twine to create the actual banner.

I hope that everyone will take a few minutes to check out the
Simply Betty 13 Days of Halloween challenges.
And hopefully you will join in the fun with us.
There are some great prizes to be won!
