Hope everyone is doing well on this cold day.
We're expecting more bad weather here again.  I am so ready for spring.

To get me in the mood for spring I decided to make a birthday card with some really pretty flowers.   I also decided a nice vintage look would be a nice change

I used this great sketch from From the Heart.

Cute sketch right?
Then I went to Catch the Bug and found this great color inspiration.
Perfect for a vintage look!

New Birthday Chick!

I have to show off this great project that my mother just created.
After many, many, MANY years of telling me she was NEVER getting into
scrapbooking, or card making, my mother has ventured into our world.

Today she has made her very first project.
This is also the very first time she has ever used her Copic markers
that she got for her birthday.
Which, I must say, she did a fabulous job with.

She used this adorable Birdbrain Birthday Chick from From The Heart stamps.
She used some really cute paper from a DCWV stack.

I am so proud of her!

Hockey!!

It's hockey time!!!
Most people don't know this about me, but I loooove hockey!
I don't get to see much of it, but I do love me a good game.
My daughter and I get to see about one game a year in person.
I really wish we could see more.

The other day I came across this great stamp.
It is absolutely perfect for my daughter and me.

This is a great Lacy Sunshine stamp.
I couldn't decide exactly how to color it, so I decided on doing 3.
When you can't make up your mind, just do them all!

I was inspired by this great sketch from From the Heart.

Sketch054.jpg

I combined this sketch with this great quote I found on Pinterest for inspiration.

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/138696863498598184/

This is the first one and the original.

My second tag is for the Kentucky Thoroughblades.
This was the first hockey team we had ever seen in person.
Unfortunately, they didn't last very long.

The third tag is for the team that we get to see now.
We now root for the Knoxville IceBears.

I love this stamp!!
I tried to do each tag to represent each team's colors and logos.
Lots of layers and different designs. So much fun!!
I am going to put these tags on a scrapbooking page with our hockey pictures.

I added a little bit of glitter to the fairy's wings to add a little bit of sparkle.

I used some really pretty rose paper, and some very sparkly pink paper for the background.  I also added some purple glitter paper with an eyelet diecut, and some cute paisley paper.

I made this beautiful little baby card for a very special friend of mine.

I used this cute little stamp from Sassy Studio Designs, Glowing Gwen.
This is actually for a little girl.
They are naming their baby Daisy, so I wanted to use some pretty
daisy paper and some adorable pink flowers.

I decided I wanted to make the present a little extra special,
so I made a tag to match the card.

AND

For this fun challenge I got to use a fabulous stamp by Stamp N Doodle.

I love this stamp!!!
I colored the cowboys with my trusted Copics.
(I even added a Skoal ring to one of the Cowboy's back pocket -my Mom's idea)

Added some DCWV Burlap stack.
I also added some brown paper to look like leather.
Easy to make!
All you have to do is wet your cardstock, crumple it up,
spread it back out, and dry.  Easy huh?

Lastly I added the lyrics to one of my favorite songs, "My Heroes Have
Always Been Cowboys," to the outside edge of the card.

It is so hard to find a good manly stamp that suits my guys.
But this one is perfect!!
