I used Sweet Stops layout and Pretty Pink Posh colors in my card and this is what I came up with.
I also used my favorite DeNami stamp!

Just barely made it!

10 Minute Dash

I love DeNami stamps!
And this week they are sponsoring a little bit different kind
of challenge over at the Pretty Pink Posh blog.
The 10 Minute Dash.
You goal is to create a project with the colors selected
and complete it within 10 minutes.

I thought I would give this a try.
I got everything together beforehand.
I used DeNami stamps and DCWV Sweets stack paper.
I decided to make a nice simple tag with a fairytale theme.

9 Minutes 58 seconds
I cut out the tag the bottom pink color, and the glitter pink stripe.
Colored and cut out the stamped images.
Added a little glitter, and some ribbon.
I can not believe I actually got it finished within the 10 minutes.
I do have to admit that I never made anything so fast in my life!
I'm not sure that it was my best work, but it sure was fun!

Now I can't wait for the next one!
THANKS for a great challenge!

Sleeping Beauty

What a great Sunday!
I hope everyone is having a great day!

I found the new Sweet Stop Sketch posted up and was inspired.
As soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do.
We are working on Disney scrapbook, and for some reason
this sketch just screamed "Sleeping Beauty" to me.
I'm really not sure why, but that was the first thing that came to mind.

I love using lace and I added some gold glitter,
pink glitter DCWV paper,  and a couple of rhinestones.
Princess' need their bling!!

I am going to enter it into the Sweet Stop Challenge this week.

Cupcake Anyone?

Cupcake Anyone?

My daughter started her own small business a few months ago
making cupcakes, cakes, and cookies.  She calls it Life Is Sweet Treats!
You wouldn't believe how much weight I have put on!
But I love being the taste tester!  What a job!!!

I wanted to make her something special, and my Mother
has recently given me a coffee jar of my Grandmother's buttons.

I decided to combine her love of cupcakes and something
 sentimental from her Great-Grandmother.

Here's what I came up with.
Let me know what you think.

I added some glitter around the buttons and some pearls and crystals.
I also added some pretty heart lace.

I used pink gingham paper from a My Mind's Eye stack.
I made the cupcake holder out of DCWV Corrugated Stack.
Then I added some pretty ribbons.

I thought this was a perfect way to enjoy my Grandmother's buttons
and my daughters love of baking cupcakes.
My mother loved it so much, that I made her one too.
What a great feeling to be able to look at the buttons and be reminded of my Grandmother every day, instead of the buttons just sitting in an old coffee can where they can't be seen.

People that touch our hearts are never forgotten.
But it is nice to have something to remind us of them everyday anyway.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Glittering Mermaid

I have really been inspired this weekend.
I saw the Sweet Stop Sketch and just had to make it.

I wasn't sure how exactly I wanted to make it, until I saw
the All That Scraps challenge for this week.
The ATS challenge this week is features Glitter.
I had a Sweet November mermaid stamp that I thought
would be perfect for this card.
And the glitter would look great on a mermaid.
I used blue and green glitter for the mermaid.

I used a Martha Stewart beach scene punch.
I used clear glitter for sand on the sandcastles.
I also added a few pearls on the sand.
Pearls and mermaids just seem to go hand in hand.

I found the perfect paper from Imaginisce.

The biggest problem I had, was I couldn't decide on where to put "Sebastian".
So, I tried him out a couple of different places.

I'm not sure which way I like better.

I added pop dots on the banner, and on the oval the mermaid is on,
to make the card 3 different layers.

Music Anyone?

Happy Father's Day everybody!

I have been busy making more cards this week.
I never seem to get through making cards. Thank Goodness!!!
I love making them.

I made this card this past week using this great Penny Black stamp
that my daughter got for Christmas.
The hedgehogs are adorable, and my family all loves music.

I used some great My Minds Eye paper.
And I got the layout from Sweet Stop Sketches.
I really liked the banners and the music paper.

I would like to enter this into the Penny Black and More Challenge.
Their challenge this week is CAS (Clean and Simple). Right up my alley.
I like the look of a not too cluttered card or page.

I would also like to enter this into the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog

Wedding Wishes Card

Good Friday Everyone!

I hope everyone has a great weekend planned.
We are having beautiful weather with lots of sunshine.
Perfect weather to get a lot done!

I wanted to share this wedding card I made this week using the sketch
from the Sweet Stop challenge blog.

I made this card with some pretty flower and striped paper I had that I was saving for a special occasion.  And what occasion is more special than a wedding!

I had some pretty swirly lace and some beads that I added
for a little more pizzaz.

I am entering this into the Sweet Stop Challenge for this week.
