Romantic Wedding

My best friend just celebrated her 9th wedding anniversary, and I am
going to a wedding this weekend of another very special young lady.

So, I was feeling particularly romantic when I made this card.

I used a Sassy Studio Designs stamp - Katniss.
This is one of my daughter's favorite stamps.

I used some beautiful romantic papers from the Lost & Found Blush Collection.
I added some very romantic lace I found, some pearls, and some pretty flowers.

I added a lot of glitter to the dress to make it look more like a wedding dress.
And since she is representing a bride, I added a very small
rhinestone on her wedding finger.
I think this is one of my favorite cards. I had so much fun making it.

Then I couldn't decide whether or not I needed more bling because
everyone who knows me knows how much I love bling.
So I added a little more.

You all will have to let me know which way you like it better.

Grow Old With Me

Yesterday was my 9th Anniversary.  I can't believe it has been 9 years already!
So, I decided I needed to make my dear husband an Anniversary card.

I used the sketch from MOJO Monday's Sketch Challenge for this week.

They have the greatest sketches!

I used some great browns and blues for my colors.
It doesn't get any more manly than that!
I attached my sentiment with eyelets and added some cool buttons.
I love buttons!  They are one of my favorite embellishments to use.

Hey There Sunshine!

Hey there Sunshine!
This is probably one of the most perfect stamps for me.
Every morning when I go to work, I tell my best friend and co-worker of 23 years, "Good Morning Sunshine!".
This is one of the many fabulous stamps from Verve Stamps.
And it's one of my newest stamps.
So, of course, I couldn't wait to use it.

The Mojo Monday sketch this week was perfect for using this stamp.

I love the Mojo Monday sketches!

Materials used:
"Hey there Sunshine"  - Verve Stamps
Cupcake  - Verve Stamps
Papers - Authentique "Sweetness" collection 6x6 pad
Kraft paper
Copic Markers
Color Box ink pad - Shabby Pink
Memento Dew Drop ink pad - Desert Sand

The Authentique "Sweetness" paper was absolutely perfect for this card.
I loved the pinks, turquoise, and kraft colors together.
And who could resist the tiny little ice cream cones?!
Ice Cream and a Cupcake! Perfect for a birthday party!
And don't forget the Sprinkles!  We've got that too.

Pocahontas

I have been up late scrapbooking and making new projects.
My husband is out fishing and my daughter is at a sleepover.
So I have been doing some scrapbooking and paper crafts
that I have been wanting to do.

As I am sure everyone knows by now, I have fallen for the Sassy Studio Designs.  They are absolutely fantastic.
So, I couldn't resist their newest challenge. . . a bookmark, or something with your favorite character, or book.
Two of my favorite things, scrapbooking and reading.
I do love my a good mystery.
However, I decided to make this bookmark for my God-daughter.
She loves the Disney books, and Pocahontas is one of her favorites.

I started out with just a plain bookmark.
Next I took 3 different shades of green inkpads and lightly covered the page.
Then I used my daughter's Twinkling H20's.  These are wonderful paints to work with.  They add a nice shimmering color to your project. And as a bonus, they are so easy to use.  Just add a little water and your ready to go.  It takes very little water.  These paints last a long time.  They are great.
For the tree, I used 3 different colors of my brown Copic markers.

And of course the highlight of my bookmark is Pocahontas.

I am entering this into the Sassy Studio Designs challenge.

Chalkboard Friend

I am so excited about the most recent card I have made.
I made a card for a very special friend of mine.
She is very important to me and is truly a wonderful person.

I love all the chalkboard pictures and crafts that are out there right now.
I really like the chalkboard look.

I saw the new sketch from the Sweet Stop blog and I knew
exactly what I wanted to do.

Love this sketch!

I would like to enter this into the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge blog.

I used a white ink pad on black paper.  It gave it a nice chalkboard look.

I would also like to enter this into the Dream Valley Challenge - Monochromatic
and Love To Scrap! Challenge blog - Monochromatic.

Sassy Midnight

I was inspired by the Velma ATC card posted up by Barb earlier,
so I decided to make one too.

I had a Sassy "Good" witch that I hadn't used in a while, and I
thought this might be the perfect opportunity to do something fun with it.

I stamped a white ornamental fence and gate and put the Sassy Witch in front of it.  I added a cute little bat from DeNami.  And a crescent moon, which I colored in with gold glitter pen.

I want to enter this in the ATC's with Attitude Challenge.

Sassy Velma!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!
I am crafting again, so all is good in my world.

I was visiting the Sassy Studio Designs blog and saw that they were
sponsoring a challenge over at ATC's With Attitude, so I decided that would
be a great thing to do on such a great weekend.

I used one of Sassy Studio's latest images, Velma.

I some paper scraps I had from DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies, Sassy Studios Velma, Kraft paper for the bones, and the dog bone is a cute little stamp from DeNami.

ATC's are a little different from the normal cards that I make, but what fun they are!
ATC's are only about 2 1/2 X 3 1/2, so you have to use your imagination a little more
to make something great, but smaller.  If you haven't tried to make these
before, you really should.  They are wonderful!

I'd like to enter this in the ATC's With Attitude and Sassy Design Studio's challenge.
The ATC's With Attitude challenge theme is RELAX. What a great way to relax just watching
old Scooby Doo movies with the kids?

Happy Sassy 15!

Happy Friday!!
I am ready for the weekend and more crafting!

As you can probably tell from my previous posts, I have
become completely enamored with the Sassy Studio Design stamps.
They are just so adorable, and well. . .SASSY!

I had a great idea to make a wedding shower card for an upcoming
wedding shower I am going to be attending.
But after I started I making the card, I changed my mind from
making a nice demure wedding shower card to a nice demure birthday card.
But every time I came up with an idea for the card, I kept changing my mind.
I ended up making a birthday card for my soon to be 15 year old daughter.

I originally wanted to use pink & white, but I ended up with bright pink & black.
I decided I wanted to use the Boom Box Sassy, because my daughter loves music.  She's a dancer and is always listening to music!

I wanted to something different than I usually do,
and I think I accomplished that.

For the inside I used the sketch from over at the Sweet Stop Challenge Blog.

I took my black ink pad and roughly inked around the edges.
I wanted to make it look a little Urbany (is that even a word?!)

I used a stencil to do the writing because my writing is not that great.
I cut out music notes out of black glitter paper (was there any doubt?)
The "15" is cut out of DCWV pink glitter paper using my Tim Holtz numbers.
I added a little bling on the BOOM BOOM BOOM page. Naturally.

I wasn't sure how I was going to color the pants until I saw Sassy Studio's
Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge - Use Kraft paper somewhere.
Perfect! That was exactly what I needed for the pants!

Choose to Shine!

I hope everyone is having a great day!
I have been creating again, so all is good with me.

I love the sketches over at MOJO Monday's blog site,
so I had to do me another card using their sketch for this week.

Isn't it a great sketch?

Well, I went thru my stash again to use some of my papers that I have been saving for a while.

And this is what I came up with.

I used my Verve stamps from the Let It Be collection.
Love these stamps! They stamp so easy and crisp.  They are just great to work with.
I would like to enter this card into MOJO Monday's challenge this week.

Have a Magical Birthday!

Good Wednesday Afternoon!
What another beautiful day!

I am still pretty pumped about the challenge over at the Corrosive Challenge Blog that is being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.
I am really excited about it!

Sassy Studios has some great new images and Regan over at
the Corrosive Challenge Blog is celebrating a birthday.
So they have teamed up for some great fun.
A blog hop and some super 80's trivia.
How fun is that?!

Since I have my beautiful God-Daughter's birthday coming up soon, I wanted
to make a special Disney birthday card for her.
I used the great Disney Fan Sassy image for her card.

I added a Mickey Mouse head some pretty flowers and a glittery 2.

Hope she likes it!

Sassy Birthday Wishes!

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone is having a great Sunday afternoon!
It is a beautiful, sunny day here, and I'm lovin' it!

I have been recently been following the Sassy Studio Design Blog.
I really love their digi stamps.
They have some great Disney stamps that look great with Disney photos.

Right now Sassy Studio Designs has teamed up with the Corrosive Challenge Blog to have a blog hop to introduce
Sassy Design Studios new stamps from the fun lovin' 80's and to celebrate Regan from Corrosive Challenge's blog birthday.
By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to Regan and all the other DT's
August birthdays.
You have got to check both of these blogs out!
They are fabulous!

Corrosive Challenge is also having a "It's Only A Number" challenge.
All you need to do is make a birthday themed project, and add a number.
How easy is that?
I decided to make a birthday card for someone very special to me.

I used one of my latest Sassy Studio Designs, Birthday Cake Sassy.
What a cute design!
I used paper from DCWV Scrapbook kit in a stack - Family & Friends
and some from The Paper Studio - Birthday Extravaganza.

I added the bow the make the present, and of course some glittery flowers
with crystal brads.  Everyone knows how I love glitter and sparkle!!!

I would like to submit this card in the following challenges:
