Pictures

I made a birthday present for my daughter, but I still needed a card.
I used some really cool stamps from Saturated Canary.
I used the "picture frame" stamp from Bugaboo to
enhance the Saturated Canary Stamps.

I took several different stamps and cut them down to fit the photo frames.
I picked out the stamps that seemed to fit my daughter's personality the best.

I used DCWV Tradewinds Stack and some great Burlap paper from
DCWV Burlap Stack.  I love these stacks!

I added a burlap rose, some buttons, and a couple of vintage brads.
My daughter really loves vintage things, so I thought it fit her well.

I distressed the card for an added touch.  I love the distressed look.
I used a file to rough up the edges, and I curled some of the edges.
I also unraveled the edges of the burlap paper.

I LOVE the Saturated Canary saying that I used for the inside.
This is a beautiful saying for all girls.

These pictures really represent all that my daughter is:
she fishes and hunts and loves the outdoors, bakes, clogs (dances), beauty pageants, helps on the farm, loves campfires and bonfires,
and is a great help to me always.  I am very proud of her.
She is one of a kind, and I wanted to make a one of a
kind card for her to represent her.

My Favorite Things

This week is my daughter's birthday.
I wanted to make something really special for her birthday.
So, I decided on an explosion box.

Since one of her favorite things is baking, I had to buy some
new House Mouse stamps for the occasion.

Since her #1 best selling cake is White Chocolate Cake with White Chocolate Buttercream Frosting (and yes, it is even better than it sounds), I colored the chocolate chips white for white chocolate.
I also added some glitter to the cake.
I used sky blue glittering H20's for the water in the measuring cup.
I also added some white flocking to the bowl to look like flour.

I used DCWV Chateau Lavender Stack.
I wanted to make it a little extra special, so I took a picture of a sign that we had made for our kitchen that says "Holly & Faith's kitchen".  Then I printed it out on cardstock, cut it out and attached it to the box.  I thought that would add a really nice personalization to the box.

I can't wait for her to open it!

Christmas Birthday Recipe Card

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
I have been scrapbooking the whole weekend.
I have 2 weeks left to finish 4 scrapbooks.  My daughter and I have been working really hard on these.  They are Christmas presents for her clogging teachers, and their Christmas  party is 2 weeks from now.
But after today, we are 3/4 done with them.  Yeah!!!

I did have to take a little break and participate in the all new
They have a challenge on Facebook that anyone can enter even if they don't have a blog.  I think that is wonderful.
Their theme for this challenge is Anything Goes!

I wanted to do something a little different for this challenge.
I decided to make a Birthday Card for an upcoming Christmas birthday.
But I wanted to add a new twist to it.
I added a tag with a recipe on it for Buttercream Icing.

My daughter has her own small business from home where she makes cakes, cupcakes, and cookies, Life Is Sweet Treats. So, I went with a cooking theme.

I used the All Dressed Up stamp Sweetie Pie.  Isn't she cute?!
I also used some digi papers from NitWit designs.
I also decided I needed some kitchen embellishments, which I didn't have any of.  So, I made some from scratch.  I made a wooden spoon, and oven mitt, and a rolling pin.  I added a little "flour" to the rolling pin, and a little to her cheek.
You can't really see it too well in the pictures, but it looks really good.

I added a tag with some ribbon and fibers on it for the recipe tag.
Lastly I added some flowers and a brad in the corner.

I had so much fun with this card!
All Dressed Up also has a fabulous Challenge Blog as well.
Their Design Team is absolutely fabulous! They have incredible projects.

Fairy Merry Christmas!

It's definitely time to be getting those Christmas cards finished.
I found the Christmas Challenge BlogSpot and was inspired by their
current challenge - Fairies or Angels.

I had a really cute fairy stamp that I had been dying to use,
so I figured this was the perfect time to do so.d
I had been thinking about using a purple background but
the red polka dots jumped out at me.
I paired that with the green paper, and some white glittered paper.
I used some Echo Park Very Merry Christmas collection.

I added some beautiful white and red flowers and a white glittered snowflake.
Next I added a "Merry Christmas" tag to my Christmas card.
I also added a small white glittered snowflake next to the fairy.
I wanted to keep this card fairly simple.
I didn't think it needed a lot of extra embellishments. Just a lot of Sparkle.

I know the purple and green colors for the fairy's outfit is a little different,
but for some reason, I really like it with the red polka dots.
OK, sometimes I have weird tastes.

Dance of the Sugar Plum

I have been not been feeling well the last couple of days, so I have been watching movies.  My favorite is White Christmas with Bing Crosby.
The ballerinas at the end of the movie inspired me to create this card.
I didn't want to use the usual red, I wanted to do something a little different, so I went with softer colors like pinks, and blues.

Oh my goodness! Isn't she the cutest ballerina ever?!
This stamp is called Abi Ballerina from All Dressed Up Stamps.
These stamps are absolutely adorable.
If you haven't seen these stamps, I highly recommend you check them out.

I used some fabulous papers from Maja Designs.
I also used a wonderful swirly die cut for an added touch.
You can find both of these from Stay True To God.

I also used a little bit of paper from DCWV Chateau Lavendar stack.
I added some lovely pink glittered ribbon, my favorite lace,
and some gorgeous pink paper flowers.
I also added a pretty white flower with a crystal brad for a center
and some lovely tulle for a very simple bow.
Next I added some pretty crystals to the ballerina's hair for a nice look.
I also added some beautiful fibers for the tag.
Some pinks, whites, and greens.  Some with glitter.

And lastly I added glitter.
Lots and Lots of glitter!
I added glitter to the ballerina's skirt, the flowers,
around the tag, and around the card.
You can never have to much glitter.
Although my husband might disagree with that statement.  LOL!!

I got to use Fairy Tiffany this week.
How pretty is she?!

The Tiffany Fairy from Milk Coffee stamps is so very pretty.
I used some fabulous Swedish papers from Maja Design.

This paper is much prettier in person than it shows up on here.
The middle pink banner has falling roses and leaves cascading down it.
I think it is a really soft look.

I added my favorite lace and some pretty fabric roses.
I added some glitter.  Ok, maybe LOTS of glitter for the wings.

Please stop by Milk Coffee to check out their other great stamps.

Cute As A Button!

Hey Everybody!
I know I haven't posted anything up for quite a while, but I have
been super busy with school, and clogging.
So much has  been going on, that I haven't had time to do
very much card making lately. And I really miss it!

We just found these super cute digital images.
They are called All Dressed Up.
Adorable!!!

After seeing these great stamps, I had to take the time to make a card
with the cute puppy stamp.
I absolutely fell in love with him!

They also have some great digital papers too.
I thought they would be perfect for this card.

These papers are so easy to use.
Buy, Download, Print, and Use!
How easy is that!

I used some browns, creams, berry red, and yellow & oranges for this card.
I took the leftover paper I had and I used a leaf punch on it.
I thought it would add a nice touch to this project.

I hope if you haven't been over to All Dressed Up, that you will stop by and visit them.  They have great stamps, papers, and challenges.
THANKS!

All Wrapped Up!

WOW! I can't believe it is November already!
And more unbelievable is we are expecting our first snow of the season.
I was 62 degrees today, and snow tomorrow. Wow, just wow!

Well, even though we're expecting snow, I was in the
mood to make something Fallish. Autumn is such a beautiful season.
 So, let's CELEBRATE Autumn!

I really hate to see them end; they have such fabulous sketches.

I used some beautiful fall colored My Mind's Eye
paper pad from their Reunion Collection.
I added some copper color glittered ribbon, orange eyelash yarn,
some off white lace, 2 leaf brads, 2 gorgeous flowers,
and a really nice wooden diecut from Stay True To God.
