Happy Birthday Jean!

Hi Everybody!!
Hope you had a great weekend!
I wanted to share with you today a card I made for my dear Aunt Jean.

I used some pretty digital papers. The blue dots and yellow paper are paper from Samantha Walker's CottonTail collection. The turquoise leaves are from Carina Gardner's Primrose Garden papers.  The pink paper with the scalloped edges and the fun multi-colored paper comes from Adrienne Looman's Beautiful Chic digital papers.

I had a desk/project box that I had bought at a second hand store that
I had just been waiting for the perfect stamps to put in the frames.
I can now sit this box on my desk and fill it with markers, stamps, tools,
and just all kinds of goodies.

For the first one, I used the 40's images.

I used some digital red and white striped paper, some white glittered paper,
and some blue paper with white stars.
I was feeling very patriotic when I made this.
I also added some flowers, crystals, and Freedom charm.
I really love this image.

Lady Liberty

Hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July here in America!
We spent a great day with family.
I did get to do a little crafting though.

I used a cute stamp from Simply Betty called New York Betty.
I added some really great paper from Carina Gardner Americana paper.
I added some white glittered stars and a red glittered 4
I used my Tim Holtz distresser to go around the edges of the tag and stars.
I also did a little grunge work with the "Freedom" sentiment.
I used my gold glittered pen to add a little sparkle to the flame and to
give the impression of lights in Lady Liberty's crown.
I added some frontage and glitter for a little fireworks look behind her crown.

Lady Liberty is definitely an inspiration and a reminder of our freedom.
