Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
This weeks challenge over at Sassy Studio Designs is of course Halloween.
Halloween is not my favorite holiday, but I do love those
Sassy witches and mummy's!

For my project this week, I couldn't decide which witch to use:
Sassy Witch or Honey Witch.
So, I used them both!
I decided to make my daughter and I matching bookmarks.
She got the Honey witch, and I got the Sassy Witch.

I added some purple Karen Foster Halloween paper to a
Paper Studio Kraft Tag to make the bookmark.
I even cut out the bat and the spider out of the paper for my the Honey Witch.
I used my all time favorite Martha Stuart lace punch for the bottom.
I thought that would add a nice touch.

For the top of the bookmark, I added some fabulous eyelash yarn
and some other cool ribbon type things.
I really love this look.

Please join them over at Sassy Studio Designs this week for this great challenge

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Graduate!

This weeks challenge over at Glitter N Sparkle is add some black.

I had this great image of a graduate from Sassy Studio Designs that I had never used , and I thought this would be a great opportunity to use it.

I used some red and black cardstock and a little piece of CONGRATULATIONS paper I had saved up.
Next I decided a tassel in our school colors would be a great addition, so I made one to add a little something extra to the card.

Please join us over at Glitter N Sparkle this week for this great challenge!

EEK, SCREECH, AND BE SCARY!

Happy Early Halloween!

Sassy Studio Designs is having a great stamp release today.
The new stamps are just awesome!
They are having a blog hop today to help celebrate.
So, if you are coming from Kim, you're on the right track.
If you haven't come from Kim, you might want to start at Sassy Studio Designs.

This month they have release some totally great images.
I got to use Winifred  Sanderson from Disney's Hocus Pocus.

Doesn't she look fabulous?!
We did a Halloween Bingo! card.  Love this idea!

I used some satiny black ribbon and some pretty sparkly purple ribbon.
I added some black glittery "ribbonny" type sticker to the purple ribbon.
And since I really love Bling, I added some grayish and black
crystals to the skulls eyes.  I thought it would be cool to add another dimension.
Next I took some of my favorite lace and sprayed it with Heide Swapp Color Shine Black Velvet to color it black.
Lastly I took a scrap of black eyelash yarn and wrapped it around the saying.

I used DCWV Spooky stack. This was the perfect Halloween stack for this image.

I am really excited about these new images.

Next on the hop is Sara.  She has some fabulous inspiration in store for you.
As well as all of these great DT members.

Tag It!

Happy Tuesday!

We are having another great challenge over at Just Inspirational Challenges.
This weeks challenge is Tags and is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.

I wanted to make something with the Sassy Studio Designs
Snowman Pinup stamp.
I started with making a tag, then added some snowflakes
to put on a Christmas card.

I added some lace and glittered snowflakes.
I used a black gel pen for the boots.
And of course I had to add a little more bling, so I added
some crystals to the side of the tag.

I hope everyone will join us over at Just Inspirational Challenges this week.
Our DT members have created some wonderful inspiration for this challenge.

Monochromatic Blues

Hope everyone had a great weekend.
Are you ready for the start of another week?  I think I am.

I wanted to share a new challenge that is starting over at the
Love To Scrap! Challenge blog this week.
Their challenge this time is Monochromatic.
This one can sometimes make you think a little harder, but they are a lot of fun!

I have the great privilege of being the guest designer over at the
Love to Scrap! Challenge blog this month.
I have really enjoyed it!

This is my take on this new challenge.

I used shades of blue paper and added some blue ribbon and some pretty crystals.  I used my Martha Stewart eyelet lace punch to make a nice lace affect

The stamp I used I thought was perfect with all the gifts.
I also took some blue paper and paper pieced her skirt and 2 of the gifts.

I have stamped the inside of the card with:
Something Old
Something New
Something Borrowed
Something Blue

Hope you will join them over at Love To Scrap! Challenges.

These stamps are so much fun! And adorable!
I just love these!

Isn't he just adorable?!
I used some papers from my stash, some Karen foster papers, and
I used some great digi papers from Stitchy Bear.

Birthday Wishes

Hope everyone is having a great evening.
I wanted to share a card I created using this week's sketch

If you have been on this blog before, then you probably know we really like
the sketches off the Sweet Stop site. They are just great.
And this one, I think, may be one of my favorites.

I made this birthday card for a good friend of mine from church.
Since she loves purple, I looked through all my paper stash to find
some purple papers.  After finding the Happy Birthday paper, the
other papers just fell into place.

I made the tag using one of my Stampology Autumn Leaves
and the "Birthday Wishes" is from Inkadinkado Chelsea Sentiments collection.

I added one of my favorite little purple buttons for an extra touch.

I would like to enter this into the Sweet Stop Challenge this week.

I would like to enter these challenges as well:

GO TEAM!

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday today.
We're more than halfway thru the work week, which is excellent!
This week Sassy Studio Designs is having a really cool challenge.
Use your team colors.
Their design team has some wonderful inspiration.  As always!

I used one of my favorite Sassy Studio Designs stamp - Daphne.
Since my daughter is on a dance team, I decided to use their team colors.
Black, Red, and White.
And since their team name is Star Power, I added some gold glitter stars.
Star Power is a clogging team which is really cool.
And if you don't know what clogging is, it is a mixture of
tap and Irish Step dancing.  Lots of energy and very fun to watch.
You can check out a video of them here. This is where they performed a more
traditional dance at Silver Dollar City in Branson MO over summer break.
I thought this would be a great "card" to add to the teams scrapbook album.
Hope you can join them over at Sassy Studio Designs this week.

I wanted to make something for my mother today, so I made her a bookmark.
Since she loves to read so much, I thought this would be perfect.
And Fall/Autumn is her favorite season, and colors, I went with
and Autumn Blessings theme.

I used this adorable Bugaboo Stamp - Girlz Autumn Blessings which I just bought.  I also happens to be on sale right now over at Bugaboo Stamps.
These stamps are just wonderful!!

I used DCWV Timeless Treasures Stack paper to glue down on my Kraft Tag.
Then I added a yellow half circle for my sun, and of course my colored stamp.

Steampunk Victoria

I have decided to try something new today.
Steampunk.
I have never made a Steampunk card before, so I thought I would make one.

I was inspired by Cupcake Inspirations challenge this week.

I used DCWV La Bella Rouge Stack - red papers.
And I used this great stamp from Sassy Studio Designs, which
have become some of my favorite digi stamps, Steampunk Victoria.

I used Tim Holtz gears die cut, and a Spellbinders - Fancy Tags die.
I used a Technique Tuesday stamp, yes a real honest to goodness clear stamp, to stamp the "Get It In Gear".
I also added a pretty lace doily and flower to add a feminine touch.

I think the black lace look adds a nice touch.
The paper matches the red in the frame better than the picture turned out.

Vintage Wedding Wishes!

Happy Friday!
Ok, it's really Thursday, but as I am off work tomorrow, it's my Friday.
WOOHOO!!!
More time to craft!

Speaking of crafting.  I am sooo very excited to say that I was chosen to be the Guest Designer for Sassy Studio Designs for the month of October.
I really love their stamps, so this was a great honor for me.
If you haven't used them, you really need to go and check them out.
They are fabulous!

I have used their stamps for a lot of different projects.
I used their Princess themed stamps for a Disney scrapbook I created.
They are just really nice stamps.  Please just take a minute to visit their blog.

This is my first challenge as a Guest Designer for Sassy Studio Designs, and I wanted to do something really pretty.
I needed a wedding card, and this current challenge was perfect for that.

This weeks challenge is a 1, 2, 3 Challenge.
You need to use 1 piece of lace, 2 sparkly items, and 3 deco papers.
2 sparkly items - right up my alley! And lace.  Totally me!!

I used the Sassy Fashionista Bella Bride stamp for my card.
Isn't she just beautiful?

I used my Lost and Found - Union Square paper pad.
Isn't it perfect for a vintage look?
I created some matching flowers with a little sparkly bling in the middle.
And my second sparkly thing was the glitter I used on the bride and her flowers.

As anyone who has ever read my blog knows,
I am a HUGE glitter and sparkle gal!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I know it's not close to Thanksgiving yet, but I am really not
a Halloween type of gal.  So I wanted to get a jump on Thanksgiving.
I have been seeing all these great Fall things going on lately
and it has really put me in the mood.
I got my sketch inspiration from the MoJo Monday blog.
Which of course I love.

I used my DCWV Timeless Texture stack.  This stack has a lot of great colors in it.
I used a really cute Bugaboo stamp.  I mean, really, how cute is she?
I used my colored pencils to color the stamp.
I like the look of the muted colors the colored pencils provide.

I made a little orange flower by distressing it, and added a cute little button.
I really like these colors together, they make me feel warm inside.
I really love the coolness of Fall.
