Cupcake Anyone?
My daughter started her own small business a few months ago
making cupcakes, cakes, and cookies. She calls it Life Is Sweet Treats!
You wouldn't believe how much weight I have put on!
But I love being the taste tester! What a job!!!
I wanted to make her something special, and my Mother
has recently given me a coffee jar of my Grandmother's buttons.
I decided to combine her love of cupcakes and something
sentimental from her Great-Grandmother.
Here's what I came up with.
Let me know what you think.
I added some glitter around the buttons and some pearls and crystals.
I also added some pretty heart lace.
I used pink gingham paper from a My Mind's Eye stack.
I made the cupcake holder out of DCWV Corrugated Stack.
Then I added some pretty ribbons.
I thought this was a perfect way to enjoy my Grandmother's buttons
and my daughters love of baking cupcakes.
My mother loved it so much, that I made her one too.
What a great feeling to be able to look at the buttons and be reminded of my Grandmother every day, instead of the buttons just sitting in an old coffee can where they can't be seen.
People that touch our hearts are never forgotten.
But it is nice to have something to remind us of them everyday anyway.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
